Istanbul Agop Xist Dry Dark Hi-Hat 17″ cymbals

Xist Dry Dark Hi-Hat 17″ has a dark, coarse onset and flowing wash with short decay. Adding a matching Dry Dark Crash inside the lower cymbal can focus the attack and strengthen the closing sound. Using it as an alternative bottom yields a dark, coarse pair at moderate volume.

Separately, the top can act as an explosive, full-bodied Crash and the bottom as a small, light Ride or bell effect.

XIST Dry Dark connects acoustic and electronic tonal ideas in a modular range. Each cymbal is expressive on its own and in paired or stacked combinations.

The flexible cymbals have a focused onset, dark harmonics and rapid decay. Alone, they provide broad dynamics without overpowering other instruments. Combinations can yield percussive, modern, synthetic textures.

Suitable for traditional jazz, synth-based music, progressive jazz and other styles.
