The Blackstar St. James 50 EL34 Head is a 50-watt all-tube guitar amplifier head that combines legendary British EL34 valve character with advanced recording technology and an exceptionally lightweight design. Weighing only 6.7 kg, it is one of the lightest 50-watt valve amplifier heads available while delivering authentic tube feel, dynamics and response.

The amplifier features 2 × ECC83 preamp valves and 2 × EL34 power valves. Channel I is inspired by iconic mid-1960s American clean amplifiers, providing exceptional headroom, dynamic compression and an outstanding pedal platform. Channel II delivers authentic vintage British crunch with exceptional clarity, sparkling highs and a footswitchable +10 dB Boost for increased sustain and overdrive.

Designed for today's musicians, the St. James 50 EL34 includes an integrated Reactive Load, CabRig™ DSP speaker simulation, and three professional direct recording outputs: USB Audio, XLR CabRig, and Stereo Line-Out. Switchable 50 W, Sag, and 2 W power modes preserve authentic valve tone and feel at virtually any volume, making the amplifier ideal for live performance, studio recording and home practice.
