Blackstar St. James 50 6L6 Head

The Blackstar St. James 50 6L6 Head is a 50-watt all-tube guitar amplifier head that combines classic American clean tones, powerful modern high-gain performance and professional recording features in an exceptionally lightweight design. Weighing just 6.7 kg, it is one of the lightest all-tube 50-watt amplifier heads available while delivering authentic valve response and dynamics.

Equipped with 2 × ECC83 preamp valves and 2 × 6L6 power valves, Channel I is inspired by legendary mid-1960s American amplifiers, offering exceptional clean headroom, musical compression and an ideal pedal platform. Channel II delivers a powerful British-style overdrive, while engaging the Voice switch unlocks saturated modern high-gain tones with enhanced low-end punch and aggressive response.

Each channel benefits from its own dedicated EQ circuitry, ensuring uncompromised tone regardless of channel selection. The built-in Reactive Load and CabRig™ DSP speaker simulation provide professional direct recording and silent performance via USB audio or the balanced XLR CabRig output. Power reduction modes (50 W, Sag, and 2 W) preserve authentic valve feel and response at any volume.
