Blackstar DA100 Ruby Head

The Blackstar DA100 Ruby is the Doug Aldrich Signature 100-watt all-tube guitar amplifier head, developed in close collaboration with one of rock's most respected guitarists. Built over more than a year of intensive development with Blackstar's engineering team, the DA100 Ruby combines classic British valve tone, modern connectivity and studio-grade recording features. Based on the acclaimed HT Stage 100 MK III platform, it incorporates numerous sonic and functional refinements personally requested by Doug Aldrich.

Powered by two ECC83 preamp valves and four EL34 power valves, the DA100 Ruby delivers 100 watts of dynamic valve power with exceptional headroom and harmonic richness. Three footswitchable channels provide six selectable voices, including a boutique-inspired Clean channel with expanded EQ controls and two hot-rodded Plexi-style overdrive channels capable of everything from classic hard rock crunch to modern high-gain lead tones.

The amplifier features CabRig™ speaker simulation with three exclusive Doug Aldrich presets, Blackstar's patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF), and Power Reduction down to approximately 10% of full output for authentic valve performance at lower volumes. Additional features include Presence, Resonance, Master Volume, digital reverb with Dark/Light modes, switchable effects loop with adjustable tail lengths, USB recording, speaker-emulated output with 1×12 and 4×12 cabinet voicings, and an included 5-way footcontroller. Finished in striking Ruby Red, the DA100 stands out both visually and sonically.
